Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
1. Introduction
Yohime ("we", "us", or the "Platform") provides a platform where creators upload and publish works and fans discover, support, and unlock access to them. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use Yohime and its related services (the "Services").
2. Definitions
"Personal information" means information about an identified or identifiable person. "Non-personal information" means information that does not identify a person. Account, Content, Creator, and Fan have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.
3. Consent and Legal Bases
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service or contract you request, our legitimate interests where those interests do not override your rights, legal obligations, or consent where required. When processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it as described below.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
4. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to visitors, creators, and fans. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Services. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
5. Information You Provide
Depending on how you use the Services, we collect information you provide, including:
- Account and profile information, such as your email address, sign-in details, display name, profile image, and preferences.
- Content and related information, such as works, cover images, descriptions, and other materials you upload or publish.
- Transaction information, such as purchases, credits, subscriptions, unlocked works, payment status, and relevant billing or payout details.
- Verification information, where requested to confirm identity, age, account ownership, or eligibility for creator features.
- Communications, such as questions, reports, feedback, and information you send to support.
Some information is needed to provide the feature you request. If you do not provide it, that feature may not be available. Please avoid submitting information that is unnecessary for your use of the Services.
If you choose an external sign-in or payment service, we may receive information needed to complete the sign-in or transaction, such as an account identifier, contact details, or payment confirmation. Information handled directly by those providers is also subject to their own privacy policies.
6. Automatically Collected and Non-Personal Information
When you use the Services, we may collect technical and usage information, including IP address, browser and device information, identifiers, pages visited, interactions, and the time of activity. Cookies and similar technologies help provide account sessions, remember preferences, measure use, and support security.
Information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer identifies a person may support usage analysis and service improvement. Information that remains identifiable is treated as personal information.
7. How We Use and Share Information
Use of information.
We use information as reasonably necessary to:
- Create and manage Accounts and provide the features you request.
- Host and present creator Content, maintain libraries, and verify access to unlocked works or access plans.
- Process purchases and, where applicable, creator payments, and maintain transaction records.
- Respond to support requests, reports, and disputes and communicate important service information.
- Protect users and the Services, verify eligibility where needed, and detect or investigate fraud, abuse, and violations.
- Understand how the Services are used, maintain their operation, and improve the user experience.
- Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Public information and other users.
Information you choose to publish, such as a creator profile, work description, cover image, or other public Content, can be visible to others. Access to restricted Content depends on the relevant access conditions. Consider what personal information you include in any material you submit.
Interactions and information you choose to share with another user may be visible to that user. Other users are responsible for their own use of information they receive; this Policy does not govern their independent activities outside the Services.
Disclosure to others.
We may disclose information:
- To service providers that help us operate the Services, including hosting, payment processing, analytics, security, verification, and customer support, as needed for those functions.
- At your direction, when you publish Content, use a feature that shares information, or authorize a disclosure.
- For legal and safety purposes, when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or resolve a dispute.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of relevant assets, subject to applicable confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
The information disclosed depends on the purpose and the service involved.
8. Safeguarding Information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No online service or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Keep your login details private and notify us if you believe your Account or information has been compromised. Do not send your password or full payment-card details in a support message.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; receive a copy in a portable form; restrict or object to certain processing; or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Some account information can be updated in your settings. To make a privacy request, email [email protected] and describe what you are requesting. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity or authority before responding. We will handle requests within the time and subject to the exceptions required by applicable law.
10. Children and Age Restrictions
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 or over who meet the eligibility requirements in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Yohime, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Storage, Retention, and International Processing
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy. The period depends on the information, the service provided, account activity, and applicable legal requirements.
Some records may need to be retained after an Account is closed to complete transactions, address disputes, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, or protect legal rights. Deletion requests are assessed in light of those requirements.
The Services and our service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will handle the transfer in accordance with those requirements.
12. Other Websites
Links to third-party websites or services do not make this Policy apply to them. Review their policies before providing information or using their services.
13. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our Services or practices change. We will publish the updated version and date on this page and provide additional notice where required by law. Where a new use requires your consent, we will seek it as required.
14. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to support sign-in, remember preferences, understand use of the Services, and help prevent abuse. Some technologies are necessary for features to work; others support measurement and improvement.
You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser or device settings. Blocking or clearing them may sign you out, reset preferences, or affect functionality. Where required by applicable law, we will seek consent before using technologies that require it. For questions about available choices, contact [email protected].
15. Email Communications
If we send optional promotional messages, you may opt out using the method provided in the message or by contacting us. We may still send necessary account, transaction, security, and service notices.
